I think you tried to solve the problem the wrong way. A better solution (in place of the invitation system), would be to create a more advanced access control system which would group the problematic users. Grouped users would be able to see normal posts and posts of their peers, but their own posts wouldn't be displayed to normal (non-problematic) users.
Think of it like shadowbanning with a echo-chambering vibe.
Trolls would be in one group, funny comments in another. Alt/far right/left groups could be children of some of the previously stated ones.

Bug report: The password maxlength is 100 but it seems this isn't checked server-side. My password manager ignored the maxlength and set a 128-character password on my account which now makes it a pain to log in.
Being able to change the password would be useful too.

Really enjoyed this video by CGP Grey on attention. I agree with the general point of his video - in fact those types of ideas are what guided how I designed this website.
Let me know what you think, it's inspired me to cut a few social media outlets out of my life (namely reddit and twitter). Rather than abstaining, I might try limiting these platforms to "weekends only" or maybe "Tuesdays and Thursdays" (you get the idea).
Sorry I haven't implemented link support yet, I think I've finally settled on an idea worth implementing. I'll try to get it rolled out sometime next week. Hope you're having a nice weekend!
Protect your time and attention.

After a week of trying Google Play Music, I'm surprised to find that: Google > Spotify. At least for me. What I care about most is "related artist" recommendations. For the music I'm interested in, Google's recommendations have been much better and introduced me to some great stuff.

I've been thinking a little about the idea of "best" versus "favorite".
Sometimes it overlaps: like I think Predator is the best Arnold movie and it's also my favorite. Sometimes not: Howl's Moving Castle is my favorite Ghibli movie but I think Spirited Away is the best Ghibli movie.
